The Lord gives us what we need, not always what we desire and often, it is something we could never have conceived, something far better than we could have imagined.
We chase after worldly comforts—holidays, possessions, success—hoping they will satisfy this restless longing within us. But these are only coverings, temporary and fragile. They cannot reach the deeper hunger of the soul.
His peace is different.
It is not dependent on circumstances, nor found in what we can acquire. It is a peace that fills, sustains, and anchors us even in uncertainty. It is the peace of being held, known, and loved by Him.
Nothing in this world will ever be enough.
We will remain restless—searching, striving, unsatisfied—until we rest in Him.
